Gerald D. "Jerry" Russell, 74, of Jake's Corner, Ariz. died Jan. 26, 2008. He was born in Bellingham, Wash. Sept. 6, 1933 to Frank Russell and Storma Olsen.
                                                                                                                                                                          
 
Most of his life, Mr. Russell worked as a graphic artist in the printing industry until he retired to Morristown, Ariz. about seven years ago. He moved to the Payson area about a year ago to enjoy the outdoor life that he cherished so much.

Before becoming a graphic artist, Mr. Russell was a veteran of the Air Force, where he worked in intelligence.

He is survived by his sons, Greg Russell, Daniel Russell and Wayne Russell, all of El Cajon, Calif.; and two grandchildren, Wayne Jr. Russell and Jordon Russell.

His ashes will be placed in the columbarium wall at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in San Diego, Calif. at a later date.
